Requirements
for foreign students(ryu-gakusei) :
Students from abroad will be considered for entrance if they hold
citizenship of a country other than Japan, and one of the following
qualifications.
- A person who
has completed 16 years of education in foreign institutions or will
have completed the requirements for graduation by March 31,2005.
- A person who
has completed 15 years of education in foreign institutions and has
received credits and grades considered acceptable by the entrance
examination board.
- A person who
has completed 12 years of education in foreign institutions, has graduated
from a Japanese university, or will have completed the requirements
for graduation by March 31, 2005.
Necessary Documents
for application:

Registration Card(provided)
- Curriculum Vitae
(standard form is provided but, if you wish, you may submit your own
original format C.V. with alt necessary personal information, academic
and employment history, achievements, continuity service, awards,
etc. you feel the examination board should have.
- Official statement
of graduation from the academic institution fast attended, or, letter
assuring graduation by March 31,2005, from the institution now being
attended.
- Official grade
scores of courses taken from academic institution last attended.
- Certificate
showing level of Japanese proficiency, preferably The Japanese
Proficiency Test (II level) given by the Association of International
Education, Japan,but a similar test, a record of Japanese language
training received, or, experience using Japanese is acceptable.
- Reasons of the
application in Japanese ( about 400 characters / hand written is acceptable
if Japanese word processor or computer is unavailable). English (
about 160 word) is acceptable.
- Research proposal
in Japanese (about 3000 characters/handwritten is acceptable if
Japanese word processor or computer is unavailable). English(about
1200 words) is acceptable.
- At least one
(1) letter of reference from advising professor or government official.
- Letter from
employer(if employed)approving entrance into the program if accepted.
- A copy of your
passport, or, Proof of Alien Registration(gaikoku-jin-touroku-shoumeisyo)
- Copy of graduation
thesis (undergraduate or graduate) if available.
- Interview Exemption
Request(only overseas resident applicants)
(The application of overseas resident applicants is limited to the
first application.)
Selection Process
The selection
of candidates will be done by. 1) Examining the above documents
provided by the candidate, and, 2) Essay in Japanese or Japanese 3)
An interview (in Japanese) with the candidate.
- The documents,
such as, C.V., academic record and references, will be considered
in
their totality.
- The interview
will be conducted in Japanese to confirm details in the candidates
research proposal and assess academic attitude, motivation towards
research and
personal character.
There are two independent
periods for examinations. A candidate must apply to the program by one
of either dates below.
First application
Application deadline:
Application Form, and other documents must be sent to Osaka
Sangyo University. Department of Business Administration during 2nd
October 2003 and 9th October 2003.
Examination and
Interview date and time(scheduled): 19th October 2004, 11:10 am (Candidates
must be at the university by 10:40 am).
Announcement
of results(scheduled): 23th October,2004.
Enrollment
Period: if accepted enrollment registration(scheduled) must
be completed between October 24th 2004 and October 31st 2004. (Registration
forms will be accepted after the final date only if postal stamp is
of the final date or earlier).
Second application
Application deadline(scheduled):
Application Form, and other documents must be sent to the Osaka
Sangyo University, Department of Business Administration between18th
February 2005 and 24th February 2005.
Examination and
Interview date and time(scheduled): March 8th 2005, 11:10 am (Candidates
must be at the university by 10:40 am).
Announcement
of results(scheduled): March 12th 2005.
Enrollment
Period(scheduled): if accepted enrollment registration must
be completed between March 13th 2005 and March 19th 2005. (Registration
forms will be accepted after the final date only if postal stamp is
of the final date or earlier).
If it is impossible
for candidates residing overseas to come to Japan for the interview,
please fill out the form provided specifying the reasons for not being
able to come.
